พืชจำพวกเฟิน ลำต้นทอดขนานกับพื้น ใบ เดี่ยว แผ่ รูปคล้ายพัด กว้าง 70 ซม. ยาวได้ถึง 50 ซม. ขอบใบหยักเว้าลึก เป็นพูเข้าหาโคนใบ ขอบพูหยักเป็นฟัน ปลายแหลม แผ่นใบเหนียว คล้ายแผ่นหนัง กลุ่มอับสปอร์ขนาดเล็ก รูปร่างไม่แน่นอน เรียงตัวกระจายทั่วไปแผ่นใบด้านล่าง
Fern, wide-creeping, with rhizome. Fronds simple, broadly peltate, 50-70 cm wide, margin lobes spreading fan-shaped deeply almost to the base; veins dichotomously branched, coriaceous, green on upper surface, paler or glaucous beneath. Sori small, numberous, irregularly scattered over the lower surface of fronds, without indusial.

Indochina, Southern Thailand and throughout Malesia to Polynesia and Australia. In Thailand, frequent by stream in evergreen forests, at elevations above 1,000 m.
